Hello! assalamualaikum wr wb. Today i want to share my current favorite podcast! I actually wrote this to doccument my current fav. I realize i've been so noisy on twitter, so even normally i would post these on twitter but for now i think it's wise to just share them here :).
Okayyyyy so here it is my kind of podcast. The podcast i listen to. I actually have some specific qualification for a podcast to become my favorite, lol. Maybe many people out there are like me too :)
1. The intro shouldn't be too long.
2. The music or background music shouldn't interrupt the talking.
3. If it's about some motivational podcast, it shouldn't make me feel like i just had a burden in my life. it should calm and ease me, it should lighten how i see life, not the opposite.
4. It shouldn't be too noisy. It shouldn't hurts our ears while listening.
okay those are the specific qualification of a good podcast in my opinion! XD I have been listening to podcast mostly while i excercise (walk or run), and while i work. When i go on a run, i tend to need some background music. Because if not, i will only focus on how many laps i've passed, and how tireeddd i am hahaha. Also at work, sometimes i like to work without any backsound. sometimes i like to work with music. But! everytime i listen to music while working, i tend to sing and fantasizing my kind of videoclip for this song. The music distracts me hahaha. Then i listened to podcasts. and i love it! here are some of my fav podcast:
1. The Daily Shine Podcast
Okaay so this podcast is mainly about meditation 0:). At first, i kinda laugh about how the voice is almost like the girl in google translate. But then when the backsound comes while she talks, it calmms me, it soothes me. This podcast is also not only come in meditation form, it also comes with reflect/journaling kind of type (which i really love!). How she talks, and the point she made in this podcast is so calming it makes me appreciate myself more. This is the kind of self-love podcast you're searching for! So effective! It makes me look more inward, and being calm in reacting to outward. The outro "You Got This!" at the end alwaaayss been my favorite and makes me feel boosted. haha. Their journaling prompts are simple but always something i never heard/read on the internet before! It challenges me to look more inward and focused on myself, my perspective of life and at the end of the podcast i will always learn something new about myself. I even listen to this podcast while at work, when i'm working on something that needs to be done quickly, i'm on the verge of freaking out while doing this tasks, but with this lovely podcast as my backsound, i can concentrate more and be more calm and focused! wow, right? :) They even asks us to follow them as they say things to calm ourselves, even to hug yourself!<3 I feel like when i am freaking out, there's this imaginary friend that calm me told me to breath, and look the other way, and told you it's gonna be okay, even hug you. that imaginary person is actually ourselves. What a level up of a selflove right<3. I actually have listened to all of their episodes! But they update daily, every day from Monday to Friday, so yeay! grateful for this podcast:) loveee :)
2. Vitamin Glow Podcast with Haley and Katie
This one podcast is like a girl-talk typa podcast! I looooveee this one, i even have been listening to ALL of their episodes. All their episodes are no longer than 30minutes! I loveee it! They stay inside the topic, and how they share their story is like i'm listening to an older sister:"). I am the oldest daughter in the family. so i have only to younger sisters, but no older sister. Listening to them makes me happy because, well, they're like this older sister figure to me. We actually only separated by one or two years old. So how they see life is not really different from me. They're interesting, not too loud, not that super-social-people, and that's why i like them. Remember i don't like loudy podcast right? haha. Their length in one episode, which rangeg between 10-20 minutes is also perfect! In 20minutes, i always have been run 5 laps. so 5 laps of running that i don't feel. Love listening to them while i run. Makes me not focused in my tiredness, but also hear some good perspective, good advice, and interesting stories. But they are on a break now. hopefully they will update again soon! pleaseeee:"(
3. The Savvy Psychologist's Quick and Dirty Tips For Better Mental Health
One day i was deciding what to listen as i am about to go grocery shopping. What to listen while driving to the market, and while i'd be picking up things on my lists. Then i open this podcast, search for an episode with good topic and ooooh it was fun! It was very knowleadgeable, informative, but the way she talks about this serious matter is kinda funny, and not intimidating. It also comes with this tips that can be approached in real life:) it's fun to take notes while listen to her because it's really good. The topic is also fun! It's things that are really happening in t he daily life. from that one about sleep, to the recent one about how to not lose a friendship over politic talks! haha. she's talking about basic things like nightmare, sleeping, but also something that took my heart because i need this advice. example is this one episode tittled "how to let go of resentment" that i heard a while ago. Uuuuuhh. Also this one episode which i heard recently while at work, really hit me. i even paused and take notes because wow i am so amazed:") look! it's tittled "Resilience: Mastering The Art of Bouncing Back" sounds really ambitious right? but no! it's not intimidating listening to this. In fact it brings this idea, and courage to my perspective.
4. Perfectly Imperfect Podcast with Christine and Regina
Okay we're arriving at our last stop for now. The 4th on my list of current fav podcasts. So this is the newest podcasts that i have just found. But not to them they've been doing podcast since 2019! or less i think,i forgot. there are many MANY episodes with really cool tittle. When i heard them for the first time, they're still on going but now they're on a break :( This one podcast is also about girl-talk, advice, like from an older sister figure but more detailed and complex and dig deep. Their episode range 45min to an hour, which sometimes I wouldn't like. But this podcast, i could listen to them until the very end! The first episode that caught my eye to click it was "The things that we're happy didn't work out" maybe not exactly like that i forgot but it's about things that didn't work out in their past that eventually as time goes by they realize it's actually for the best. That episode reallyyyy opened up my perspective because they're Asian-American, this Christine and Regina, they actually point out things that well, relevant in Indonesia too. maybe not exactly but almost. I'm amused by their stories, they have been through really a lot, a lot that it's really like listening to an older sister experience. They also have interesting episode with featurete people like "what men really thinks and what they don't tell you" it's actually really interesting. It's interesting but i don't know why my fav episodes are when it's just 2 of them sharing and talking. Okay like this one episode that I've also been listening while at work, a week ago, tittled "Do you like me? Seeking External Validation" it is almost an hour but i'm amused and happy and thought wow, right! From how simple things like favorite colour, that we tend to say something cool rather than our really favorite colour when we were little, to things major like "do you still love me mom even if I don't want to be a doctor?" hahaha! Not only they're talking about their experience, girl-talk, but also they come up with a summary and always lesson to be learned, and like it is okay to feel that way and let us slowly learning to overcome it.
Yeay! That's it! My current favorite podcasts for now. I know I'm just a nobody but I just want to appreciate this podcasts because they're too good!! Spotify doesn't really have a comment section so I don't know where should i say this but now it's out in the Internet and I hope they know how good their podcasts is! Really really inspiring and comforting. Really really good company. :)
